Book Review: How to Castrate a Bull by Dave Hitz

I’m back with another quick hit book review. My aim here is two fold; 1. to document the books I’m reading and 2. to give you a quick rundown of a particular book so you can decide if you want to read it. I intend to keep these posts as a highlight so not to give away too much. Anyways, let me know what you think of these reviews by Tweeting me @trebrandjordan

What it’s about:
This book is about the journey that NetApp Co-Founder Dave Hitz took to grow his business. Unlike many startup founders Dave was lucky to not get fired or bored. Because of this How to Castrate a Bull gives entrepreneurs an interesting perspective of how to both start a business and how to grow and sustain a business. The book offers some quick doses of insights and a few laughs. Overall, an easy read that is full of great advice.

Biggest takeaway:
When preparing to speak to an audience it’s best to think about what you want the audience to feel and do before you think about the content of your presentation.
